Minnie Selma Blair, age 97 went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 28, 2015 in Lubbock Texas.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 2, 2016 at First United Methodist Church in Plains with Pastor Rick Doyle officiating and Pastor Wesley Holland assisting.  Burial will follow at Plains/Yoakum County Cemetery in Plains.

Minnie was born on March 4, 1918 to August and Selma Steinfath in Throckmorton County.  She met and married the love of her life, Barron Blair, on March 16, 1944 in Sagerton, Texas.  Together they moved to Plains in the summer of 1955. She was always running to get Barron parts for one thing or another. He preceded her in death on March 16, 1998.

Minnie was active in the church bazars and the church dinners.  She was also a member of the Plains Cancer Group.

Her family remembers how she loved to sew, cook, do crafts, and babysit her grandchildren.  Everyone will miss her great coffee cake.

Those left to cherish her memories are 1 son: Royce Blair (Cynthia) of Plains; 2 daughters: Brenda Canada (Dwayne) of Plains and Linda Stanford (Donny) of Waco; 1 brother: Albert Steinfath of Lubbock and 1 sister: Lena Steinfath of Levelland.  She also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 4 sisters: Annie Gobel, Freida Steinfath, Alma Zelisko and Selma Follstaedt and 3 brothers: Fritz, Henry and August Steinfath.
