The newly elected and re-elected officials of Terry County were sworn in on Friday, January 1 in the District Courtroom. In keeping with the need for social distancing, three separate swearing in ceremonies were held, to keep the number of people in the courtroom to a minimum. District Judge Trey Didway officiated at all the swearing in ceremonies.
First on the agenda was the swearing in of newly elected Sheriff Timothy Click. Sheriff Click’s wife Cara held the Bible for his swearing in ceremony.
Next up was Chief Deputy Mike McClure. Sheriff Click held the Bible for McClure’s swearing in.
The Departments eight Deputies were sworn in. These deputies are Matthew Torres, Brandi Gutierrez, David Valentin, William Atzbach, Rowdy Kennedy, Wayne Johnson, Carina Trevino, and Kaye Wagner.
Krystal Valentin was sworn in as the Joint Elections Administrator. The Bible was held for her by her husband, David Valentin.
At the next session of swearing in ceremonies, County Tax Assessor Collector Rex Ann Furlow was sworn in.

Commissioner Precinct 3, Martin Lefevre
County Auditor, Jan Hudson.
The afternoon session, consisted of members of the County Attorney’s Office, starting with County and District Attorney Jo Shae Ferguson-Worley.
