TownTalk News received the following press release from Plains ISD Superintendent, Dr. Stephanie Howard.

PlainsIconPlains ISD and Plains High School are excited to announce the new offering of Advanced Placement coursework through College Board this year. The first course we are offering is AP English Language (English III) being taught by Mrs. Jolene Taylor. Mrs. Taylor attended College Board training over the summer and has submitted her course syllabus to College Board to officially offer the course as an Advanced Placement course. The students will take the Advanced Placement test in May with a goal of scoring a 3, 4, or 5 to obtain college credit for the course.

College Board is a mission-driven not-for-profit organization that connects students to college success and opportunity. College Board was founded in 1900. Plains ISD now joins over 6,000 educational institutions as members of College Board.
