Plains ISD third through sixth graders vote for Texas Bluebonnet Award

TownTalk Radio received the following Press Release from Plains ISD Superintendent, Dr. Stephanie Howard.

tba-logoPlains ISD is excited to announce that our third through sixth graders will be casting their votes for their favorite 2016-2017 Texas Bluebonnet Award nominated book on Friday January 20. The Texas Bluebonnet Award recipient is chosen exclusively by the children in our state. Students in grades three through six across the state of Texas are eligible to vote for this prestigious award if they have read at least five of the twenty nominated books. Our students’ votes will be submitted to the Texas Library Association by our literacy partner, Yoakum County Librarian, Pat McNabb.

Plains ISD is honored to partner with Yoakum County Library in Plains to bring this exciting opportunity to our students. We appreciate Mrs. McNabb and Mrs. Gass for making this opportunity possible of our students.
