Early voting has ended in the Primary Election Runoff. Election Day is Tuesday, May 24. If you missed early voting, Tuesday will be your only chance to vote.

According to Krystal Valentin, Terry County Joint Elections Coordinator, 731 voters voted early. This is roughly 11% of all registered voters.

Here is a graphic showing how the Runoff compares to the Primary voting in Terry County.

In the Republican Party, Terry County Judge Primary Runoff Larry Gilbreath and Tony Serbantez are competing for the Republican nomination for the General Election in November. Whoever wins this nomination will have a contested race with Scott Jackson who is the Democratic nominee in the November Mid-Term General Election.

In the Justice of the Peace Primary race, incumbent Judge Angie Garza is facing David Cox. Whichever candidate wins will be the Terry County Justice of the Peace and take the oath of office on January 1, 2023, since there is no Democrat on the General Ballot in November.

On the state side in the runoff elections, there are both Democrats and Republicans. The two Democrats vying to be the nominee for Texas Attorney General are Rochelle Garza & Joe Jaworski. On the Republican side, Texas Attorney General Incumbent Ken Paxton will face off with George P. Bush for the Republican nominee. The Democrats also have a Primary Run-off for the Lieutenant Governor’s office: Michelle Beckley & Mike Collier.

If you voted Republican in the Primary Election, you can only vote on the Republican ticket in the runoff. Same is true if you voted Democrat. You can only vote on the Democratic ticket in the runoff. If you did not vote in the Primary, you are eligible to vote on whichever ticket you want in the runoff.

Election Day hours will be 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
