Funeral Services for Ray Baker, 97, of Denver City will be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, August 12, 2017 at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Marty Akins officiating. Interment will follow in the Denver City Memorial Park under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City.

Ray passed away Sunday, July 30th in McKinney Texas. Ray was born on July 7, 1920 to Alpheaus and Delta Henderson Baker in Carter, Oklahoma. He moved to Denver City in 1952 was a plumber and sheet metal worker, then owned and operated Mustang Lanes from 1964 to 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife Birdie Baker, and wife Drucilla “Toots” Tucker, two brothers M.L. Baker and Elvis “Jigs” Baker.Ray is survived by four sons: Deryl and his wife Betty Baker of Slidell, LA, Jeryl and his wife Judy Baker of Amarillo, Leland and his wife Betty Tucker of Denver City and Roger and his wife Talasia Tucker of Amarillo, Two daughters: Lynda and her husband Michael Polasek of Blue Ridge, Texas, Cynthia and her husband Derrick Bullard of Hamilton, a brother: Don Baker of Lubbock, seventeen grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Yoakum County Senior Citizens, First Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, August 11,2017 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.in The Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel.
