Memorial Services for Ronney Dossey, 67, will be held Monday, August 7, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. in the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel. Ronney Dale Dossey was born on January 3, 1950 in Lamesa, Texas to Billie Dossey O’Neal and Albert Dossey. He left this earth in his own way and time on Friday, August 4, 2017.
Ronney served in the U.S. Navy aboard USS America from 1969 to 1972. Ronney was a long-timeheavy equipment operator in the oilfield. He shared his backhoe talents with CJR Contractors, Big Bear Oilfield Services and BJB Oilfield Services. His last stint was working pipeline for BJB near Corsicana.
He was well-known in the oilfield not only for his perfection of skills, but for his strong will in having things done his way. He married Marsha Archer on June 30, 1987. Ronney was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Marsha of Seagraves, daughter Shelley Roberts of Seminole, brotherJerry and wife Carol of Conroe, and a sister Brenda of Brownfield.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Lubbock Children’s Home, 4404 Idalou Rd, Lubbock, Texas 79403 and to Reed’s Rescue Rancit, Po Box 557, Denver City, Texas 9323.
