A shooting in a home in Brownfield on Saturday, sent one local man to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. According to City of Brownfield Police reports, on April 4, 2020 at about 5:13p.m., the Brownfield PD received a call from a man who resides on East Hill stating that a male subject had approached the house and fired a handgun into the house, after knocking at the door.
Officers arrived on the scene and the subject was taken to BRMC ER, where he was later released. The PD, the Terry County Sheriffs Office and the DPS all assisted in searching the area for evidence and witnesses. Police Chief Tony Serbantez stated, “We are working to identify a suspect in this case. We are certain we will have the suspect in custody soon.”
