Services for Sulema “Sue” Loya Jones, 83, of Brownfield will be held at 10 am Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Brownfield Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Seaton officiating.
Rosary will be held from 6-8 pm Monday, September 13, 2021, at Brownfield Funeral Home.
Sue was born on July 5, 1938 to Manuel and Lydia Loya in Lyford, Texas. She was owner and operator of Cinderella Beauty Shop. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Lydia Loya; husband, Johnny Jones; son, Johnny Medina and numerous aunts and uncles.
Sue is survived by her daughter, Lydia Mata and husband Alfred; son, Ruben Medina and wife Elma; 7 grandchildren, Jennifer McGowan, Gabbie Hernandez, Henry Hernandez, Lorezo Mata, Ruben Medina, Jr., Marcie Medina and Johnny Medina; great-grandchildren, Logan McGowan, Alyssa McGowan, Ivette Mata, Kylee Mata, Addison Hernandez and Olivia Hernandez; siblings, Manuel Loya, Jr., Mary Rodriguez, Lydia Font, Olivia Bell and Beatrice Cantu; and a friend, Billie Peacock.
