The first of the year meeting for the Terry County Commissioners includes many once a year items. This meeting was no different.
Salaries were set for all County employees. No raises were given.
First of the Year Orders were approved. These include:
Holidays were also set for the County employees. There will be 13 paid holidays for the employees

In other business, a grant from OXO to the Sheriff’s Department was approved. The grant was in the amount of $5,000 and will pay for grill guards on the Department pickups.
Monthly and yearly reports were also approved by the Court.
The Court did adopt a resolution that “Any office that has an employee leave or quit employment for any reason muct come before Commissioners Court to hire for that position.”
Continuing Education hours for the County Clerk’s office were approved.
Also, the Terry County Clerk’s Office received Exemplary recognition in Vital Registration Process from the Texas Health and Human Services Department.
The Commissioners will next meet on Monday, January 24, at 9 a.m. in the Basement Meeting Room of the Terry County Courthouse.
