Terry County Sheriff Timothy Click has announced that the Terry County Sheriff’s Department vehicles will all soon be radar equipped. “With the County having to do much more patrolling on the highways,as we help out the Texas Department of Public Safety, we are equipping our vehicles with radar technology.”
The Terry County Sheriff’s Office Deputies went through a radar training with David Lowry, of Stalker Applied Concepts on Wednesday morning.
Sheriff Click stated, “We will still be doing our regular patrolling out in the county and continuing to do our normal jobs. Traffic control is just being added in for the time being. DPS is somewhat shorthanded at this time and have called on us to step in and help out. We just want people to be aware that we will be monitoring speed and safety issues, and we do have the authority to write traffic citations.”
Please be cautious and be aware of your speed. Practice safe driving habits every time you are in your vehicle.
