Don’t miss the Terry County Farm Tour on Thursday morning , September 16.
The tour will leave from the Terry County Show Barn at 9 a.m. The doors will open at 8:15 for coffee and donuts, provided by the Brownfield Chamber of Commerce.
The focus of this year’s tour is the old community schools of Terry County. Buses will drive the countryside and riders will learn a little bit of the history of education in Terry County.
The buses will return to the Show Barn around noon for a brisket lunch cooked by the West Texas Young Farmers Association.
At the meal, the Terry County Farm Family of the Year and the Outstanding Young Farmer will be named.
If you don’t want to take the free tour, meal tickets can be purchased at the door for $14. If you are not taking the tour, please plan to arrive at the show barn by 11:30 to get your meal. The meal is free to those who take the tour.
