Terry County Livestock Show to kickoff this weekend

The Annual Terry County Livestock Show will begin on Thursday, January 13 and conclude on Saturday, January 15. All events will be held at the Terry County Show Barn. The event is co-sponsored by Texas AgriLife Extension – Terry County, and Terry County Livestock Association.

Lambs will show at 5 p.m. on Thursday, January 13.

Goats will follow immediately after the Lamb Show. Joel Lanier will be judging both the lambs and the goats.

The Gilt Show will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday, January 14, with the Barrow Show immediately following. Evan Green will be judging the Swine.

Steers will be shown beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, January 15. Brent Cromwell will serve as the Steer Judge.

The Stock Show Dinner will begin at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, with the award ceremony beginning at 5 p.m.

The Sale will begin promptly at 6 p.m.

Organizing officials for the Show are:

General Superintendent – Mike Seaton

Steer Superintendent – J Rowden

Lamb/Goat Superintendent – Chris Orum

Swine Superintendent – JR Cudd

Brownfield FFA Advisors – Sheldon Franks, and Garrett McGinnis

Meadow FFA Advisor – Reagan Stuart

Wellman-Union FFA Advisor – Karol Browne

Take some time to get out and support these kids and this show. Lots of hard work has gone into getting ready for the Annual Stock Show.
