Raising animals the right way to show and win is very important. All those weeks and months of hard work build the animal that stands in the ring. But once that animal is in the ring, the kids have to know how to show that animal to the best of their ability. They have to understand what shows best on their animal and they have to get a clue what the judge is looking for.
They have to keep one eye on the animal and the other on the judge at all times, while in the ring.
One thing about the Stock Show is that, it is not just the animals who are recognized. Showmanship in the ring is honored as well.
