Tony Jaramillo ObituaryChurch Service for Tony Jaramillo Age 62, of Lubbock, TX, is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at First United Methodist Church in Muleshoe with Father Sergio Leal of Muleshoe officiating. Rosary will be said 7:00 PM, Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel in Muleshoe. Burial will be in Muleshoe Memorial Park. Tony died Friday, September 23, 2016, in Lubbock.

He was born December 17, 1953, in La Junta Colorado to Alfonso and Lucy (Ruiz) Jaramillo. He married Alma Leal in Muleshoe, TX on September 1, 1975. Tony served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War. Most recently, he was the owner of Leal’s Tamale Factory Inc. in Lubbock, and owned several businesses throughout the years in Texas and New Mexico. He attended St. Clement Anglican Church in Muleshoe.
Tony was a devoted husband of 41 years, a loving father and grandfather, a gracious brother and uncle, and a best friend to many. He was a loving servant to the Lord and to many of his earthly brethren and would drop anything at a moments notice to help someone in need. Tony was the fatherly example of devotion, love, fortitude, discipline, and integrity.

Furthermore, his generosity and compassion were second to none. He possessed a tremendous amount of intellectual curiosity and loved aviation, astronomy, coin collecting, and classic cars to name a few. He also loved music, movies, firearms, travel, fitness, and history. Tony Jaramillo loved life and all the amazing experiences it offers.

He is preceded in death by his father, Alfonso and a sister, Maxine Scarborough.

Tony is survived by his wife, Alma; his four sons, Reggie Jaramillo and his wife, Amy of Denton, TX; Matthew Jaramillo and his wife, Mandy Smith of Lubbock, TX; Victor Jaramillo of Lubbock, TX and Nicholas Jaramillo of Wichita Falls, TX; his mother, Lucy Martinez of Lubbock, TX; his three sisters, Esther Garcia of Littlefield, TX, Patsy Salas of Casa Grande, AZ and Conchita (Chubby) Davis of Lubbock, TX; his nine brothers, Alfonso Jaramillo of Clovis, NM, Lawrence Jaramillo of Snyder, TX, Ruben Jaramillo of Brownfield, TX, Raymond Jaramillo of Littlefield, TX, Randy Jaramillo of Lubbock, TX, David Jaramillo of Levelland, TX, Jimmy Jaramillo of Muleshoe, TX, Freddie Jaramillo of Hobbs, NM and Alex Jaramillo of Littlefield, TX; nine grandchildren, Aidan Jaramillo, Tristan Jaramillo, Audrey Jaramillo, Elijah Metiz, Micah Metiz, Sienna Jaramillo, Gabriella Jaramillo, Natalie Jaramillo and Anthony Jaramillo.
