UPDATE: 3:40 p.m. Thursday.

Yoakum County Chief Deputy Jerry Howard has just informed TownTalk News missing teenager, Jaydon Makyle Lira is at home and is safe. Howard said Lira showed up at home earlier today, and is well. This story comes with a happy ending.

UPDATE: Yoakum County Chief Deputy Jerry Howard has given a response to TownTalk News regarding the latest on missing teenager, Jaydon Makyle Lira.

 Howard said law enforcement officials are still searching for the missing Lira, and did give a little more information regarding the events leading up to his disappearance.

 Howard said Lira was taken by a classmate to Plains High School the day of his disappearance, which is reported as being Wednesday, March 30. Lira, who is a senior at PHS, asked to be taken to his house after school and then to be dropped off at the park in Plains. Lira told his classmate he would wait there until a family member picked him up from that location.

 Howard said Lira was last seen carrying a red backpack and wearing red sneakers. He also said Lira’s cell phone has not been used since the disappearance, and that he also has no money.

 Howard said it has been reported that Lira also has friends in Levelland. Howard did not say if members of the Yoakum County Sheriff’s Office have any leads at this time.

Tuesday’s report

**Law enforcement officials in both Yoakum and Seagraves counties are looking for two teenagers, which disappeared on March 30.

And while both teenagers went missing last Wednesday, the two disappearances don’t seem to be related.

Currently, members of the Yoakum County Sheriff’s Office are asking for information to help find 17-year-old Jaydon Makyle Lira, who was last seen on Wednesday, March 30 in Plains. He is described as a white male with black hair, brown eyes. He is 5′ 11″, and weighs approximately 190 lbs. He was reported as wearing a black ball cap.

Also reported missing is teenager, Mariah Bueno who is reportedly from Seagraves.

When asked about a link between the two disappearances, Seagraves Police Chief Scott McAuley said he hadn’t heard about Lira’s disappearance, and said he didn’t believe there was a connection.
