W. W. “Pete” Timmons (1938-2018)

W. W. “Pete” Timmons passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018. We will gather for fellowship and remembrance from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, September 9, 2018. at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Family and friends will celebrate his life of 79 years on Monday, September 10, 2018, at 10 a.m. at Meadow Cemetery, Meadow, Texas. Wilburn Worth was born October 28, 1938 to Malcolm Alexander and Sulla Elizabeth Timmons in Meadow, Texas. He married Barbara Roberts on August 5, 1960 at the First Baptist Church in Olton, Texas. He was a talented calf roper in his early years and a true cowboy. Pete worked 26 years in the west Texas oilfields and lead several successful ventures in oil production. Pete then worked several years in golf course construction which took him and Barbara all over the world. After retirement, Pete spent time with family and traveled, where he made cherished friends from all over the US.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Timmons; their children, Steven Timmons and wife, Leslie; and Brad Timmons and wife, Christin; grandchildren, Brittney Barcena and husband, Tyler; Bailie Lane and husband, Logan; Ian Timmons and wife, Kristi; Asa Timmons, Carson Timmons, Tyler Julian, and Hayden Abbott; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Donna McAvoy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Malcom and Sulla Timmons; and brother Hershel Timmons.

Memorial contributions are welcome and the family suggests Joe Arrington Cancer Center.
