Wanda Jean “Jeanie” Latham (Cloud), of Graham, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, August 27, 2022, in Graham.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 8th at the Wildcatter Ranch Hotel, in Graham. (6062 Highway 16 South)

Jeanie was born February 3, 1936, in Odessa, Texas, to John B. and Dee (Robertson) Cloud. She was raised with her brothers and sister in Brownfield. She graduated from Brownfield High School. She worked side by side with her husband Bobby in retail clothing at Latham’s Department store from 1953 until they sold the business in 1980.

She was a member of the Church at Horseshoe Bay, Junior League of Lubbock, Ladies golf association, served on the board of directors at Lubbock Country Club, and was active in all her children’s activities.

Jeanie was an avid golfer, she loved the game, the friendships she made and was a fierce competitor. She played in the ladies’ club championship and the women’s west Texas many times. She also enjoyed painting, decorating her home, shopping, and always welcomed an opportunity for a party, especially a costume party. In the past several years she enjoyed the flowers the Samaritan’s from First United Methodist Church brought each week.

Jeanie married Robert Jackson, on June 18, 1953, at the young age of 16. Together they had two children, Jerry and Kimberly. Jeanie loved her family and was always involved as the leader or sponsor of their clubs.

She was preceded in death by his parents and her siblings.

She is survived by her two children, Jerry Latham and wife Renea of Horseshoe Bay, and Kimberly Birdwell and husband Phil of Possum Kingdom Lake; five grandchildren, Jerrod Latham and wife Izabelle, Shaun Latham and Laura Wood, Shaydra Elizondo and husband Kory, Brad Birdwell, Hunter Birdwell; and eleven great-grandchildren, Revan Cashion, Vanessa Latham, Lola Latham, Dylan Latham, Madison Latham, Alex Elizondo, Nathan Elizondo, Jaxon Latham, Bryson Latham, Presleigh Latham and Maddox Latham.
