NEWS RELEASE: Western Peanut Growers Association Postpones Annual Meeting and Ag Issues Conference In Light of Recent Developments with COVID-19

In mutual agreement with the offices of Congressmen Jodey Arrington and G.T. Thompson, the Western Peanut Growers Association’s Board of Directors has voted to postpone our annual meeting and Ag Issues Conference originally scheduled for March 18th.

We did not make this decision in haste and have been discussing the matter for several days in an effort to ensure the safety of our growers, guests, and community.

We apologize for anyone this has inconvenienced. We were greatly looking forward to this meeting and conference, as we had an awesome group of people who agreed to be a part of it. However, this is an unprecedented time and ultimately, we had to make a choice in the best interest for all involved.

We hope to be able to gather as a group and carry out this meeting at a later date. Thank you for your understanding. May God bless and keep each and every one of you safe and healthy.

Sincerely,
The Board of Directors and Staff
