Yoakum County Commissioners Court Meets in Short Session

In a rare Monday morning meeting of the Commissioners Court, there were no items to address on the weekly agenda other than the standard items that take place every Monday.

There was one line item transfer, no Soil Conservation request, no request for disposal of county equipment, no updates on the Senior Citizen building or the Denver City Community Building project.

In auditing and settling all accounts against the County the Court approved to pay $235,119.43 from the General Fund, $4,231.31 from Precinct #1, $3,122.79 from Precinct #2, $160.00 from Precinct #3, and $17,624.62 from Precinct #4 for a grand total of $370,258.62.

In medically related items $100,848.70 was paid to the hospital fund, $9,547.14 to West Texas Medical Center, $2,474.35 to the Plains Clinic, and $229.71 to the Plains Lifestyle for a grand total of hospital bills of $113,099.90.

Other medically related bills included $794.50 to Home Health and $10,628.22 to the Dialysis Center for an overall total of $124,522.62 of medically related bills.

Commissioners Woody Lindsey, Ray Marion, Ty Earl Powell, and Tim Addison along County Judge Jim Barron were all in attendance.

The next normal meeting was to held on Monday, July 4, but because of the schedules holiday it will be moved to Tuesday, July 5 at 10 am in the County Courthouse.
