BHS Cosmetology students win big!

by admin

The Brownfield High School Cosmetology Department has long been known as an award winning program. Instructor Diane Rodriquez consistently graduates students already certified or ready to be certified as Cosmetologists. This is just one of the amazing vocational classes available at BHS.

The Cosmo students recently competed in a Regional contest and qualified for state competition. Of course, amid the Coronavirus pandemic, that state competition was cancelled.

Those earning honors were: Jade Romero – 1st Place Nail Care, Kayleigh Valdez – 1st Place Customer Service/SPC Scholarship, Alize Garza – 1st Place 3-D Nail Art, Christopher Correa – 1st Place Barbering, Aurburnay Burse – 1st Place Job Demonstration A, Jade Romero – 2nd Place Emblem Ceremony, Amelia Gusman – 2nd Place Emblem Ceremony, Alize Garza – 2nd Place Emblem Ceremony, Jaydus Garcia – 3rd Place Barbering, and Alma Tovar – 3rd Place Nail Art.

Congratulations to these students! All we do is raise winners in Terry County!
