Junior High Track Teams Compete in Andrews Meet

Both the Mustang and Fillie junior high teams competed in the Andrews track meet on Thursday.

The 7^th grade Mustangs finished in 4^th place with 78 points, the 7^th Fillies had a 5^th place finish with 25 points, the 8^th grade Mustangs were 6^th with 46 points, and the 8^th grade Fillies had the highest finish in 3^rd place and 39 points.

Individual results for the 7^th Mustangs were Kevin Rivera was 3^rd in the 100 meters, Brayden Welch finished 4^th in the 200 meters, Juan Herrera was 5^th in the 400 meters, Kanton Galvan was 3^rd in the 1600 meters, Uriel Rodriquez was 1^st and RJ Hurtado was 5^th in the 300 meter hurdles, the 4X100 relay team finished in 2^nd, the 4X200 meter relay team finished in 5^th, and the 4X400 relay team was 2^nd.

In the field events Uriel Rodriquez was 4^th in the long jump, Dominic Crusan was 1^st in the shot put, and Juan Herrera was 4^th in the high jump.

In the 7^th grade girls division Josey Gomez was 4^th in the 400 meters, Dulce Cacique was 2^nd and Josey Gomez was 3^rd in the 800 meters, Karlee Trinidad was 1^st and Alexis Orona was 3^rd in the 1600 meters, Lexi Ivy was 5^th in the 300 meter hurdles, the 4X100 meter relay and 4X200 meter relay teams both finished in 5^th place, and 4X400 relay team was 4^th.

In the field events Marley Jordon was 5^th in the discus, Elizabeth Hurtado was 6^th in the triple jump, and Lexi Ivy was 4^th in the high jump.

For the 8^th grade Mustangs Tate Maxwell was 5^th in the 1600 meters, Jacob Freeman was 6^th in the 3200 meters, the 4X100 relay team was 4^th, the 4X200 relay team was 3^rd, and the 4X400 relay team was 6^th.

In the field events Damian Pena was 4^th and Branden Lewis was 6^th in the shot put, Damian Pena was 3^rd and Tristian Benett was 4^th in the discus and Jacob Freeman was 2^nd in the pole vault.

For the 8^th grade Fillies Saray Vasquez was 2^nd in the 200 meters, Brenda Ramirez was 3^rd in the 400 meters, Alazey Mishleau was 3^rd in the 800 meters, Marin Aritza was 1^st and Alazey Mishleau was 3^rd in the 1600 meters, Evelyn Gonzales was 6^th in 2400 meters, Prissy Alarcon was 2^nd in the 100 meter hurdles, the 4X100 relay was 5^th, the 4X200 relay was 1^st, and the 4X400 relay was 4^th.

In the field events Prissy Alarcon was 6^th in the long jump, Kenzi Bachman was 6^th in the shot put, Valerie Tenorio was 1^st in the discus, Alazey Mishleau was 4^th in the high jump, and Caitlynn Durham was 1^st in the pole vault.
