Yoakum County Commissioners Court Met January 21

The Yoakum County Commissioners Court met on Monday, January 21, where they addressed their weekly agenda.

First on the agenda the Court moved to audit and settle all accounts against the County and direct their payments. After looking over the bills and addressing any concerns a motion was made and unanimously approved to pay County bills that totaled $126,151.90 and Medical facility bills that totaled $116,525.78. They also approved the payment of part time salaries.

The management from Shinnery Oaks was in attendance to present a financial report for the month of December 2018. It was noted no numbers were available but could be presented at the next meeting. They did go over some preliminary figures and assured the Court they would have final figures ready for next week.

In the next item the Court approved mileage rates for out of county travel. Driving rates would be $.58 per mile and flying rates would be $1.26 per mile.

Commissioner Tim Addison recommended the current members of the Rodeo Arena Committee be reappointed for another term of office. However, when discussing the members of Child Welfare Board it was decided to table this item until next week.

County Clerk Darla Clark was in attendance to inform the Commissioners about changes to the Policy Manual Section 2.06.

Road crossings in Precinct #2 and #3 were also approved. There were no request for disposal of county equipment, no line item transfers, and no Soil Conservation request.

Commissioners Woody Lindsey, Ray Marion, Tommy Box, and Tim Addison as well as County Judge Jim Barron were all in attendance. The next meeting will be held on Monday, January 28, starting at 10 am.
