Memorial Service for Harvey Dale Cottrell will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Brownfield Funeral Home, with Rev. Chris Seaton officiating.
Harvey was born on August 29, 1943, to Herman and Leona Cottrell. He passed away in Brownfield on April 15, 2024.
Harvey lived a fulfilling life dedicated to his family and farming. He loved visiting the farm and was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Harvey married Sue in 1965, and they had a lot of fun and fights in their 59 years of marriage. Throughout his 80 years of life, Harvey created countless cherished memories with his loved ones, including many family vacations and gatherings. An avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and fishing enthusiast, Harvey’s passions brought him immense joy and fulfillment.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Leona Cottrell; brother, Harvey Cottrell; sister, Gail Cate; niece, Delayne Cate; and nephew, Jeff Cate.
Harvey is survived by his wife, Sue; 3 children, Lee Dale “Beaver” Cottrell (Cyan), Candy Cudd (JR), and Pepper Brock; brother, Rusty Cottrell; 10 grandchildren, Bradley, Ceceily, Colton, Tanner, Hunter, Summer, Tye, Stetson, Tanner, and Derrik; and 9 great-grandchildren.
