Rand Nieman, 57 of Meadow, was called home by our Heavenly Father Sunday October 25, 2015 at his residence. Services will be Thursday 3:00 pm at Calvary Baptist Church in Brownfield, with Rev. Steve Carter officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Brownfield.

He was born to Willie Nieman and Wynona Armontrout, December 02, 1957 in Lubbock. He graduated from New Home High School in 1976. He married the love of his life M’Lisa Reed December 17, 1994 in Lubbock. He was a farmer in the Meadow and New Home area for most of his life, before he opened the diner. He attended Calvary Baptist Church, and was a member of NRA, Ducks Unlimited, Meadow & Brownfield Co-op, and PCCA of Lubbock.

Survivors include his wife M’Lisa of Meadow; 3 sons Brandon Nettles of New Home, Reed Hood and wife Deidre of Zephyr, and Reed Nieman of Lubbock; 3 daughters Brandi Nettles, Randy Ray Flowers and husband Daniel, and Audra Nieman, all of Lubbock; Father Willie Nieman and wife Carolyn of Brownfield; Mother Nona Pirtle of Carrolton; sister Terri Kennedy and brother Rodd Nieman, both of Dallas; 3 granddaughters Riley, Addyson and McKinley Hood of Zephyr, and numerous extended family members, plus lots of “bonus” children and grandchildren that we hold dear.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials are suggested to the Children’s home of Lubbock.
