Lubbock TX – S.D. “Smitty” Lawrence, of Wolfforth, passed away on March 1, 2018. He was born in Marshall, Arkansas on August 24, 1942. Smitty graduated from Lazbuddie High School and received his Bachelors and Masters from Texas Tech University. He was married to Sherry Lawrence on June 6, 1966. Smitty had a career in education at Springlake-Earth, Seagraves, and Frenship. He had a passion for doing handy work and building things. He was survived by his children, Robin and Jason. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 6, from 2-3pm, immediately followed by graveside services at Resthaven Memorial Park.
